First of all, I would like to start off by saying that my review on this Rheumatologist is long over-due. I've never encountered a doctor so patient, compassionate, smart, and thorough. I flew in from a different state and it was worth the trip. She took the time to go through countless records including labs. I'd been blown off by a couple doctors and was so disappointed. I'd been battling against severe joint pain, muscle pain, dry eyes, dry mouth, teeth decay, hair loss etc. The only amswers I was getting pertaining to my symptoms is they were mainly attributed to my arthritis/fibromyalgia diagnosis, However, Dr. Girnita looked at the whole picture. What I've noticed since starting on her recommended medication regimen is less pain in my thighs so far. Oh well, I'll take whatever relief I can get! With her help, I'm hoping to see even more improvement. In addition, she took the time to address my mental health as well. Thanks Dr. Girnita, I am forever grateful 🥲

About six years ago, I began experiencing numbness in my hand, which worsened over time. Some of my fingers started to deviate and show deformities. Despite this, doctors did not provide effective assistance. I even drove to Austin, where a specialist suggested wrist surgery after merely a brief examination of my hands. A similar experience occurred in Houston, where the doctor hardly examined my hands, ran no tests, and scheduled surgery. I didn't trust them and am glad I didn't proceed with the surgery. It seemed none of the doctors listened or were able to diagnose me correctly. I also saw a rheumatologist where I live; he looked at my hands once and never ran a test. Only injected my wrists with cortisone. He was putting a bandage on my disease and was doing nothing to slow it down. He also misdiagnoses me and said I had osteoporosis. After many attempts to get this doc to do more and 8 month of terrible care I stopped going. Then I found a reputable rheumatologist in San Antonio but had to wait three months to see him. That's an eternity when you suffer.I had researched extensively about my symptoms and was convinced I knew what was wrong; I just needed a doctor who could confirm it. I believed I had psoriatic arthritis and was getting progressively worse, desperate to find the right doctor. That's when I considered looking online instead of waiting three month and found Dr. Girnita. She listened attentively and immediately suggested that I have psoriatic arthritis. She recognized the severity of my condition and didn't waste time prescribing medications that had failed in the past. She ordered a comprehensive set of blood work and X-rays to confirm inflammation, etc. Following this, she processed everything through my insurance, and three days later, it was approved for Humira.Dr. Girnita is the best doctor I've ever had; she is likely saving my life and livelihood. I believe I will get better thanks to her now. I am very grateful.

Dr. Girnita and her staff have figured out how to take care of patients for a reasonable cost and with such ease on Zoom. She takes plenty of time to make sure you understand (and rheumatology isn't easy to understand), her followup is prompt, if only every doctor visit could be like this. Many times you might need hands on from a doctor, but so often you don't. She ordered all the imaging and lab tests I needed, made sure I didn't overpay for them, and gave me a lot of confidence in how to manage going forward. I'm still waiting on a call back from a local rheumatologist to even get an appointment, and have already been seen twice by the caring Dr. G. Worth every penny!

I am truly grateful and consider myself blessed to have found her. I have been very discouraged in trying to find competent and knowledgeable providers. After years of enduring dismissed concerns (and I am a provider myself!), Dr. Girnita and Darren were so helpful to me in becoming established and receiving a prompt appointment. This practice is responsive, professional, and pays great attention to detail. I live in a completely different time zone, and there has never been a time that Dr. G has not responded to my questions, health updates, or even a comment. Dr Girnita is amazing. One of the best doctors I’ve ever gone to see. She cares about you and takes the time to explain things so you understand. After leaving multiple messages for my regular Rheumatologist (of about 8 years) to schedule an appointment, but not hearing back (to date I have still not gotten a return call), I decided to browse online for a Rheumatologist near me. I also entered prompts for diet and nutrition to maybe find a Rheumatologist that might consider my thoughts on food's link to health. This is how I found Dr. Girnita. I figured I could schedule an appointment with her and wait to see either her or my regular Rheumatologist, whoever became available first. I was surprised I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Girnita as early as the next morning! My initial consultation with her was a full hour, with much of the appointment me detailing my situation and expressing my concerns and what I was looking for in a doctor. She has a sweet, soothing voice and a very reassuring demeanor. I really felt heard. She didn't dismiss my thoughts on food and health. She is well-versed not only in traditional medicine but in nutrition as well. She is very knowledgeable, but never condescending. She never interrupted me and often asked if I had any questions before proceeding with her advice. Even at the 1 hour mark, she made sure all my questions were answered before ending the meeting. Outside of that, she is available by email or phone for any questions. I was a bit jaded and skeptical that maybe at my follow-up appointment Dr. Girnita might not be as available as the initial consultation. I was wrong. I was able to schedule a follow-up appointment as soon as I wanted. While my appointment was 10am, I got a call/text from her almost 20 minutes earlier, letting me know she was available to start earlier if I was available!! That was so unbelievable, I even texted my husband at work to let him know. His response? "Wow!!" He was used to getting texts from me as I sat in my former Rheumatologist's lobby for 45 minutes to an hour saying, "still waiting!" Dr. Girnita is extremely knowledgeable (and has all the education, degrees, and credentials to back it up) yet she never makes me feel like any of my questions are "dumb questions." She freely shares her knowledge and information. She's even compiled a list of supplements and other helpful items for patients who ask her for recommendations. For example, my fingers have been pretty tight lately and she recommended a paraffin soak. I had never heard of that! To summarize this lengthy review for someone who doesn't have the time to read the whole thing: Dr. Girnita is an honest, kind, caring, professional, knowledgeable, skilled, and trustworthy physician who puts patients over profit. I highly recommend her for you and your health!!

Considering the current US health care system, Rheumatologist oncall and Dr Diana is an unbelivable miracle!!! If you do not believe, please read my mom's experiences below. My mon, in her 70s, came to US to visit my family. Due to the covid pandemic, she could not return home. Unfortunately, she started building pains in multiple joints, such as ankle, knee, elbow, shoulder, etc, such symptoms progressed very quickly and severly. My mom could not walk without the help of walker in a very short time. Her symptoms cannot be relieved with acupuncture, plaster, heating pad. So, I know this is something severly, based on my limited medical knowledges, I suspected that my mom probably has rheumatoid arthritis based on her symptoms, and it was demonstrated with some blood lab works, which showed high level of CCP factor, high level of sedimentation rate, and high level of C reactive protein, which was ordered online and no health insurances needed with self pay.The tougher situation stared from there, where my mom could be treated??? My mom visited me without health insurance. Even with it, as you know, to get RA treated, you need to find a general doctor, he/she can refer you to a RA specialist, and you need to wait at least several months to see the RA doctor. Have to say, this makes no sense, but unfortunately it is a typical process. For RA patients, it is a terribly wrong process. RA can progress very fast, it attacks not only joint, but also lung, heart ,and other organs, with couple of months of wait, patient can be severely damaged and this process may be irreversible. Even though, such further damage may not happen, how can a patient stand with such pains daily?It is lucky for me to find rheumatologist oncall and Dr. Diana through internet. Diana is very professional and works very fast and effectively. She cares about my mom's overall health conditions, not only RA. After more lab tests, she prescribed medicine for my mom with thorough assessment of her past medical history. There are several kinds of generic medicines which can deal with RA, Diana made a careful choice to select from them in order to prevent from triggering severe side effect. Even though the medicine she prescribed is not expensive and not very strong regarding to suppressing the overwhelming immune reaction for RA, it is very effective for my mom's condition, her pain, swelling, numbness in her joints have significantly alleviated, she can walk for a distance without walker now. All this happened just in 4 months since she started with the treatment with Diana. If there were no Rheumatologist oncall and Dr.Diana, my mom even could not have seen a RA specialist in 4 months even with health insurance.I highly recommend Dr. Diana and her business -- Rheumatologist oncall, for the treatment of immune disorder diseases, such as RA, such diseases can progress very fast, at least, you need some fast action to deal with them, Thanks, Dr.Diana!

I went to see Dr. Girnita after suffering from pain for 2 months anytime I moved any part of my body. After some blood tests, she told me that, "No matter what it is, we can handle it". I went home from that visit feeling very encouraged - for the first time in 60 days. She prescribed a medicine that eliminated all my pain in just one day. After a couple of weeks, she had me start reducing the dosage of that medicine. When a small amount of the pain returned, she moved me to a less powerful medicine. The other day I had the pleasure of a telemedicine visit with Dr. Girnita. Normally, when referring to a doctor visit the word "pleasure" does not immediately come to mind.
